Born in Manhattan and raised in Seattle, Diana received her early musical education through nearly ten years in the prestigious Seattle Girls’ Choir. She performed her first operatic roles as a youth in several productions with Seattle Opera and Seattle Symphony, ranging from Puccini’s La Boheme to Janacek’s Cunning Little Vixen.

 

She spent a year in Northwest Actor’s Studio conservatory program, then was awarded a scholarship to study in Italy, where she continued her musical education with celebrated composer Bruno Rigacci. She returned to the states to complete a degree in linguistics, while maintaining a regular concert and recital schedule. In the last 5 years, she has become involved in the New Opera Movement, including collaborations with photographer/choreographer Carey Maguire.

 

Since coming to Prague, she has been studying with dramatic soprano Nancy Henninger. She has performed with Charles University Orchestra under Haig Utidjian, and sings in Trio Muses, which she formed with violinist Lydia Janickovicova and cellist Jana Prochazkova. She also collaborates with pianist Natsuki Matsuo and harpist Hana Hrachovinova. She can be heard regularly at Galerie Scarabeus and Ekotechnicke Muzeum, Choco Cafe, and other venues around Prague.
